Assessments of consumer’s vocational functioning are for the purpose of making recommendations of appropriate vocational goals as well as identifying necessary steps/services related to achieving a vocational goal. Evaluations are individually tailored in order that tests are at an appropriate level and for a specific purpose. Evaluations are administered in the facility, and at community sites. They may include formal tests as well as situational assessments. Services include but are not limited to:
- Planning tests or situational assessments to be administered based on counselor’s requests and consumer’s needs/interests
- Administering and scoring tests
- Exploring career options with consumers
- Meeting with consumers, families, and counselors to review results and present recommendations
- Writing reports with recommendations
